It is very important to us that the theatre visit for your school class is not a dry compulsory programme but an exciting pleasure. For this reason, we offer a theatre education programme to accompany our productions:
Upon request, you will receive an age-appropriate introduction to the play before your visit to the performance. Dramaturges or theatre pedagogy colleagues will inform you about important facts about the production and the special features of the production concept.

A concert series for the little ones - from 0 to 12 months with musicians of the Staatskapelle Weimar

The enthusiasm to experience music with all senses, to listen to new sounds and to move to lively rhythms cannot be awakened early enough. This is reason enough for us to dedicate a series of concerts to our youngest audience and to make the encounter with everything that sounds, sings and tones an exciting communal experience from the very beginning.

There are numerous parking spaces for prams in the DNT's ticket hall. There are also nappy-changing facilities.

A concert series for children from 2 to 3 years with musicians from the Staatskapelle Weimar Musik awakens feelings, opens inner spaces and connects people. Sounds and melodies offer access to a musical and sensual experience, into which children and parents immerse themselves, in order to be enchanted by music together - consciously or unconsciously - and to be 'moved' in the truest sense of the word.

We want to feel rhythms in playful interactivity, marvel at sounds, dance to music and sing. There are numerous parking spaces for prams in the DNT's ticket office. There are also nappy-changing facilities.

A concert series for children from 4 to 6 years with musicians of the Staatskapelle Weimar

Flautino is a flute tone - a particularly small one, but also a particularly curious one. In our concerts he always finds new answers to his question about what sounds and sounds in this exciting world.

In addition to the challenge of concentrated listening to short chamber music pieces, the concerts also offer the opportunity to learn songs together, to immerse oneself in the mood of the music through movement, dance and rhythm games, or even to create music oneself in sound improvisations.

Christmas time, winter time, story time. Sometimes cheerfully upbeat, sometimes fantastically dreamy, we enchant our young and young-at-heart audience with romantic sounds that tell of good and bad fairies, of trolls and elves, of sleeping princesses and princes in love and that are guaranteed to bring stressed minds to rest and disgruntled hearts to melt. Whether noble or doggy - with music, the interaction of the acting characters is guaranteed to be highly exciting and ultimately lead to a good end - harp magic and fanfare pomp included!

In the beautiful country of symphonies, where one does not talk with words but with tones, one has it quite difficult: the clarinettist Naftule. He and his band don't play neatly according to notes, as it is customary here, but they play music from the belly as they please. When Naftule succeeds in conquering the heart of the well-protected Princess Veerle with his music, symphonies turn upside down. A klezmer, in King Waldemar's palace?!
