Bella Italia

This year's open-air concert night of the Weimar Staatskapelle will exude pure vacation flair, conjuring up Mediterranean feelings in the Weimarhallenpark under the motto »Bella Italia« to the very finest taste. Under the baton of Dominik Beykirch, chief conductor of the music theater at the German National Theater in Weimar, the program combines the most beautiful opera overtures from Rossini to Verdi to Puccini before the evening ends splendidly with Respighi's »Pini di Roma«. Again and again, Taejun Sun lets his wonderfully lyrical tenor voice shine: in famous arias from the Italian opera repertoire, but also in irresistible hits from the world of the Neapolitan canzone. Uwe Schenker-Primus will lead through the program.

»Bella Italia« - an evening for lovers or an evening to fall in love with, but in any case the perfect but in any case the perfect start to an enjoyable summer 2022!

The concert night can be experienced from the terraces of the Weimarhalle or with a cozy picnic on the meadows and banks around the atmospherically illuminated Weimarhalle pond.

Weimar Summer cardboard stools and Weimar Summer picnic blankets will be sold as seating. Both are also available in advance at the Tourist Information Weimar. Bringing your own picnic furniture is not permitted for safety reasons.
